The Best Bread Anywhere Ever? That’s a BOLD statement, yet that is what they are saying about Juan Isaac’s Bread! For this week’s #SmallBusinessSaturday , we checked out the Santa Monica local boulangerie that has all the locals talking! We met up with #Barista @isaacfishman as well as @kristyynkaaa_ and learned a little more about this local bake shop! Jyan Isaacs Bread was born during COVID. Jyan began baking sourdough loaves in his family’s kitchen and selling them to neighbors. The response was AMAZING. Before he knew it, he was baking 250 sourdough loaves a week and hand delivering them. An LA Times Food Section feature followed and the rest is history. By early 2022, Jyan was baking 5000 loaves and bagels a week to meet the demand. Jyan Isaacs Bread was named one of the top 5 bread bakeries in California by Food & Wine magazine in their January 2022 feature “The Best Bread in Every State.” The bread is truly amazing! Bread, bagels, baguettes - the list goes on. Did I mention the incredible homemade chocolate chip cookies (with sea salt, I believe) and espresso? This place does NOT disappoint! Yes, there is always a long line out the door, but if you want to beat the crowds – GO EARLY! Doors open at 7am! Hats off to Jyan! I highly recommend! 🚨 Pizza Lovers, You Won’t Believe This! 🍕🚨 I was driving by and saw this pop-up pizza spot called Brandoni Pepperoni. A friendly wave and smile from Brandon caught my attention, and I knew I had to try it! Later, I turned to Instagram to find the exact location and reached out to confirm the spot. Meet Chef Brandon Gray, aka Brandoni Pepperoni. Growing up in Baldwin Hills, Brandon brings global fine-dining experience and a love for local produce to his seasonal, ever-changing menu. He started cooking in the Navy, trained in Australia, and worked in LA’s top kitchens. During Covid, a friend’s casual question led him to make his first pizzas, and soon Brandoni Pepperoni became a sensation thanks to a shoutout on KCRW’s Good Food. Brandon sources his ingredients from local farmers markets, ensuring the freshest flavors. Brandon and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The pizza?
