This is kind of a WOW book, especially packaged as a children’s story. It’s not that the wisdom inside is particularly new or elusively obscure—indeed, the revelation is as old as time—but one is startled by such profound wisdom appearing in the wonderfully warm tones of such simple yet engaging illustrations and truly melodic mini-narratives. One is used to receiving spiritual wisdom from provocative and complex parables, much less so from the endearing creatures populating such a delightful little book. Wow.
